This Anoxia Disinfestations System is usually provided as technical service, realized wherever the insect menaces are.
The anoxia-controlled environments in a special plastic film barrier have no size or shape restrictions concerning the good to be treated.

We have experience in converting fumigation chambers that use pesticides such as Ethylene Oxide and Methyl Bromide to Anoxia Chambers, keeping as much from the previous installation as the upgrade permits, in order to offer an ecological and economical solution for a safer usage of the existing fumigation equipment.
The existing pesticide fumigation chambers require several room and time constraints due to necessary collection’s quarantines and tight safety handling rules. Upgrading this chambers means caring for collections conservation regarding healthy work conditions for people and environment.
We have successful know-how of converting these fumigation equipments into anoxia chambers.

Made of acid-free kraftliner (pH 8.5). It is cut and creased to allow simple, fast assembly with no waste.

EXPM’S RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT |
We have started testing in 2006, with Conservators and Scientific Institutions the use of FREEZING SYSTEMS to eradicate pests from documents and artefacts.
The prototype is under scientific validation as well as the parameters of the treatments regarding safety and effectiveness of the system for use in collection’s conservation and preservation. |
